Law Enforcement and Corrections Written Exam

*Please note: The end times on test dates may vary depending on the number of candidates, weather, and other potential circumstances. Please allow 4-5 hours for the completion of the written examination.

If you are testing for an agency that requires the Physical Ability Test through Public Safety Testing, it must be completed within 90 days of the written exam.

Notes
  • Please stay in your vehicle or outside until your scheduled check-in time to avoid gathering in the hallway.
  • You will be requested to complete a health self-assessment before you are allowed into the testing area. If you are exhibiting any signs/symptoms of illness and/or have a temperature, you will be required to reschedule your exam. IF YOU ARE SICK OR CONTAGIOUS PLEASE RESCHEDULE YOUR EXAM!
  • Please bring a mask/face-covering with you. You will be required to wear this for the duration of the exam.
  • As a reminder, masks shall be of the type that conforms to CDC guidance (completely covering the nose and mouth and fits snugly against the sides of face without gaps).
  • Please note, the following are not allowed in the testing area: backpacks, purses, bags, hats of any kind, sunglasses, PDAs/MP3 Players, smart or analog watches, activity trackers, calculators, cellular phones, cameras, electronic devices of any kind, mechanical pencils/pens/erasers, beverage/water bottle labels, and any other items determined inappropriate by testing proctors. Please do not bring these items to the testing area.
  • This event is the written exam only. Required Physical Ability Tests must be scheduled and administered separately. If you are testing for an agency that requires the PAT through Public Safety Testing, it must be completed within 90 days of the written exam.
