ABOUT THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The ideal person for this role will have a positive, energetic personality that connects well with children, leaders, and parents. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the children’s ministry, ages birth through 6th grade. This person must be someone who is passionate about reaching the next generation. They must have experience in teaching, speaking, leading/recruiting volunteers, and the ability to connect and communicate with both parents and children. Most importantly, they should demonstrate a life that is being biblically formed by Jesus and possess a passion for leading the children of our church and community equipping them with a well-rooted biblical foundation. They will support the goal and vision of Chapel Hill to make disciples and advance the gospel.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Chapel Hill Staff Leadership Team & the Children's Ministry Team to create and implement vision & goal strategies for the church
Exhibit ability to teach and equip children, families, and leaders
Lead and manage the weekly Sunday & Wednesday children's experiences on campus
Establish strong relationships with the children, leaders, and families, maximizing ministry impact in their lives Lead, recruit, and train, volunteers
Lead in implementing the scheduling, curriculum prep, administrative work, and projects related to the ministry. Maintain communication with children, leaders, and families
Connect with and equip parents to lead in their children's spiritual development.
Share and lead the vision of the children's ministry with families in the church and people in the community.
