Applicant must be willing to have name disclosed in STANZ media.
Applicant must be a current member of STANZ.
       
Applicant must be prepared to provide feedback: minimum requirement of an article for Tech Tonic on completion of the course.

Applicant must be willing to be interviewed by STANZ Committee Panel as part of the application process.  

Applicant should be working a minimum of ten hours per week.

Applicant should not be considering retirement/resigning as a School Science Technician within 12 months of completing the programme.

Applicant must have completed a minimum of twelve months employment as a School Science Technician in New Zealand.

Funding to be released on receipt of invoice and/or proof of registration to the course.
Funds will be paid in their entirety directly to Education Provider, or the applicant's school, not the applicant.

Funding may be limited to non-ConSTANZ years and as finances allow.
The Funding limit for this category is reviewed annually and will be capped to a maximum amount agreed to by the Executive at the first meeting of any year. This figure will be announced at the AGM.
Funding will only be provided to STANZ approved courses that are provided by recognised suppliers.

Application should be made at least 21 days before the course start date
Your application goes to the current STANZ Inc. President.
A panel of three  current STANZ Inc. Executive Members will review your application.
A member of that  panel will contact you to discuss your application.
All funding decisions will be made on a case by case basis by the Executive team.
