“I had the great pleasure of working with David Koifman at Confident Financial Solutions. David was one of the first group of employees hired at the true "start-up" of that company. At the time of my departure from CFS, David was leading our sales team; however, David often stepped in where needed to be whatever the organization needed from him at any given time (business analyst, program manager, product manager, marketing guru, handyman, event planner and thrill seeker). Anyone working at a start-up knows that this is the kind of person you want on your team. David is a natural leader and organizer who isn't afraid of taking risks and at the same time is truly a good human being . He excels at working with development teams to define solutions and develop products as well as defining and leading sales strategy. In terms of his character, David went out of his way to connect with any newly hired employee to make sure they felt like part of the team. When I started working for CFS I had just moved from Minnesota to Colorado - I didn't know anyone or really much about where to go, what to do, etc. David made a point to find out that I was interested in hiking and suggest where I might want to hike based on my experience, where I lived, etc. He made sure I had an "official" company t-shirt. These seem like simple things but I watched him connect with every new hire in this way - finding out what was unique to them and making a point to connect with them about it and make them feel like they (and I) were a welcome part of the team. We would often participate in team building exercises outside of work and I joked that David was our team "life coach" because he had a way of pushing people past the point where they were stuck - or where they thought their limit was. He once talked me through an anxiety attack due to my fear of heights so that I could finish a 14er. This is a unique skill and one of David's true talents that I think is a true asset to any employer lucky enough to have them on their team. ”
