Parent Academy Presents: An Evening With Alumni in Recovery and The Black Poster Project. October 26, 2021 in the WCMS Gymnasium. Doors open at 6:15 to walk the project and speakers begin at 7. This evening has a strict 50 person maximum. Masks and social distancing are required.
Come see a glimpse into “Silent Memorials” the installation of hundreds of posters displaying beautiful souls who lost their lives because of their personal battle with addiction. Attendees can walk through at their own pace reading the stories of each life lost.
After, we will hear stories from parents whose children lost their battle as well as several members living in sobriety.
The collective goal of these evenings is to increase awareness and change the stigma attached to this disease.
