Message from the president

Did you know that Riverside County is among the top three counties in Southern California with the highest older adult population? There are currently over 366,000 seniors 65 and older in Riverside County. This number is expected to almost double by 2030. By 2060, the number is projected to more than double, totaling approximately 908,500. During this same period, the number of individuals 85 and older will grow by more than 700 percent. Public funding for services to older adults has not kept pace with the increase in the senior population.

The Foundation, established in 2004, is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. The purpose of the Foundation is to support, fund and further the programs of the Riverside County Office on Aging, and other new and innovative programs that sustain and enhance the quality of life of older adults in the County.

Please, consider joining with the Riverside County Foundation on Aging in our efforts to help seniors to remain healthy, happy and safe in their own homes by participating in our annual golf tournament, contributing to our Annual Holiday Nutrition Gift Card Program or making a direct donation to the Foundation to support our other projects/events serving seniors in need.

On behalf of the Foundation Board, thank you for your consideration of our request for support. We recognize there are many needs in our community; we think none more deserving and pressing than those of our elderly. Join us in our efforts and help us make a difference in the lives of older adults.

Anna L. Martinez, President/Executive Director
