As a spiritual director, I offer sacred space for holy listening where both the directee and I listen to God together. If you are in a season of spiritual questions, discerning God's direction for your life, needing spiritual healing and care, or desiring a deeper connection to the Spirit, I would love to talk with you about scheduling a holy listening session. My area of focus/experience is vocational discernment (calling and purpose), guided meditation (directed reflection on scripture, the Spirit, and yourself), and community identity (mission and vision for God's people). Holy listening sessions can be for individuals, as well as for congregations, leadership teams/councils, staff and volunteers, etc. Personal and communal discernment is foundational to our spiritual lives as the body of Christ. I am also available for speaking engagements and preaching, as well as leading retreats and workshops. Peace and grace on your journey, friends. We are in this together.

As a Spiritual Director I am dedicated to guiding people in the spiritual journey and helping them explore matters of the soul, faith, and God. I was trained in the Contemplative Evocative tradition of spiritual direction so directees can expect me to be a director who listens and seeks to share in the spiritual journey of the directee. Some typical topics that come up in spiritual direction can be...Exploring and interpreting your experiences of God - Integrating spirituality and practices into daily life - Deepening your relationship with God - Making important decisions or changes - Discovering purpose and calling in life - Spiritually heal from past wounds and hurts - Getting spiritually unstuck - Becoming who you were designed to be.

I am an experienced spiritual director with clergy and laity in the FL UMC.  I have also done supervision work as well. My spiritual formation background includes attending a 2 Yr Academy for Spiritual Formation, being on a leadership team for a 2 Yr Academy for Spiritual Formation, leading retreat teams for 5 Day Academy in FL as well as participating on teams, etc. During the past 15 years I've had experience with leading group direction for clergy covenant and lay covenant groups as well as some church retreats. As with many spiritual directors, I believe in the importance of the inward journey impacting the outward journey and how our relationship with God the Creator is key to a loving and joy-filled life.  It is a humbling pleasure to companion others in a quiet and sacred space.  The gift of hospitality and shared silence  can be an invitation to the holy work of the Spirit as companions sit together for a time of Holy Listening.

As a Spiritual Director my focus is on aiding those who are seeking a deeper connection to the reality of God in their lives and the journey that this reality evokes. My desire is to provide Spiritual Companionship to those seeking authentic and earnest understanding of God’s will and purpose in their lives. My experiences and relationships with directees have spanned a gamut of contexts and settings: Congregations, Pastoral leaders, working with incarcerated individuals, crisis chaplaincy, group and individual relationships, situational and ongoing time spans. I am particularly drawn to those who might describe their situation as “stuck” or a perhaps looking only for focused discernment support for a variety of issues related to calling, relationships and seeking peace or acceptance, among others. My training includes 3 years of formal efforts through Audire, preparation and participation in Ordained Ministry and Chaplaincy, participation in the Academy for Spiritual Formation Two Year Academy and other ongoing programs.

As a Spiritual Director I have been guiding individuals and groups since 2008.  I was trained in the Contemplative Evocative tradition of spiritual direction so directees can expect me to be a director who listens and seeks to share in the spiritual journey of the directed. Although I identify as Roam Catholic, my ministry is inter-denominational.  I assist others in their identification of the Divine in their lives, and help them discover the Spirit working within them.  One area where I have done significant work is with individuals/groups in difficult life transitions.  Career change etc., where they may be having spiritual anxiety or crisis.  Helping my directee see their giftedness and greater purpose and calling in life, and growing beyond the wounds from which they suffer to the person that  God called each of us to be.

Walking the journey of spiritual growth and insight with another is my Calling.  Finding the means of sitting with others through training in Spiritual Direction has complimented my professional work as a therapist.  Twenty-five years of holding a safe and protected space began with the Stillpointe Spiritual Direction program, held at the Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman, Alabama.   In the midst of the companioning of an individual, God companions us.  I am grateful.

I recently completed my training at Audire, The Spiritual Direction Formation Program, in Orlando Florida.  My training’s emphasis is on the contemplative, evocative approach and I would love to sit with you in the Shade and Fresh Water God offers, that sustains and replenishes our souls. My greatest desire is to help explore prayer and scripture and how it actively speaks to where you are now and where God might be leading. I have had opportunities over the years to create prayer environments and prayer experiences that help one look more inward at the indwelling spirit that speaks to each of us in so many different, beautiful ways. I’m also a practicing physical therapy assistant and understand the many facets of our lives that are affected by an incident in life we never expected and the healing process that goes along with it

I am a retired Accountant now practicing Spiritual Direction living in Brooksville, Florida with my husband and dog Grace.  I am a member of the Brooksville First United Methodist church in Brooksville, Florida.  I have been a person of faith for most of my life.  After retiring I felt that God was calling me to a deeper faith walk, so I started exploring where God could use my gifts and talents for the sake of others.
I began my journey by attending the Academy for Spiritual Formation developed by The Upper Room.   I received my certificate of completion April 6, 2013 from the two-year program of the Academy, and I am a member of the Academy Forum.
The Academy led me to seek Spiritual Direction training.  On June 12, 2016 I completed a three year program from Audire, the Central Florida Foundation for Spiritual Direction, Inc. in Orlando, FL.
I currently work with the Shade and Fresh Water program sponsored by the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.  I serve as a Spiritual Director for clergy personal retreats.
I also volunteer my skills and time to Kairos Prison Ministry, where I serve on their Advisory council.  I participate in weekend retreats, and semimonthly mentoring at the Hernando Correctional Institute.

I am the founder of Healing Ministrees, which is an umbrella for Spiritual Direction and Life Coaching practices. I entered into the art of Spiritual Direction in 2006 and officially completed my certification through Audire in 2016. As of late, I have completed various foundational courses in Healing Touch/Prayer. Likewise, I have been accepted into the Cenacle of Our Lady of Divine Providence School of Spiritual Direction® for 2023. While I am a Catholic Christian, if I accompany you, you can belong to any faith tradition/denomination or none at all. You will not find my personal practice a hinderance to your spiritual walk. Whether you are new to this practice or well seasoned - you will find that I am able to meet you right where you are. I have successfully accompanied those who have never heard of spiritual direction before as well as seasoned veterans well beyond my years. Likewise, in 2020 I completed my certification as a Dream Manager® Life Coach. This practices encourages one to explore living life to the fullest and uncover and rediscover God's dreams for oneself, both big and small. This coaching centers around four key components of life - mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. One does not need a spiritual belief or background to benefit from this coaching experience, as the spiritual component is determined by the sojourner. Keep in mind that often we feel coaching is reserved for others or for the young, regardless of where you find yourself on the path - my promise is that you are never too old or too young to dream. For both these practices I will provide an introductory call/conversation to share more or to help you assess fit. I gladly conduct sessions in person locally or by travel, via video conferencing or by phone.
